3 mm okoumé multi-ply marine plywood, phenolic bonded Class III WBP (Water Boiled Proof), in a 2500 x 1220 mm sheet. It is the thinnest gauge in our range of marine plywood and is used on board wherever a light, flexible panel is needed: linings and interior cladding, cupboard and drawer bottoms, bending over structures, templates and reinforcements.
What makes a board marine grade
Phenolic bonding is what defines a board as marine grade, but the wood itself is just as important for durability. This board is made from 100 % okoumé, veneer by veneer, with phenolic bonding throughout every layer. It withstands the moisture and outdoor conditions typical of a boat, provided it is protected with a suitable finish (varnish, epoxy or paint).
