The LP-AF8A is the low-profile Auto Fit female: its 360° lateral adjustment corrects uneven, irregular structures, making it ideal for curved panels and refits while keeping the panel almost flush (range profile, ~4 mm).
It is fixed to the structure with a #4 countersunk screw in a 35 mm hole (10.5 mm deep), or bonded onto plywood at least 9 mm thick. It also has a composite-build advantage: it can be moulded directly into the hull's fibreglass during lay-up. It is not used in aluminium or metal.
It mates with the Low Profile male clips (5-15 kg depending on the male). The LP range is more flexible than the Standard, which is why it works so well on curved upholstered panels.
