4mm Okoume Marine Board Veneered with American Cherry on One Side

The one-side cherry-veneered okoume plywood is an okoume-base marine plywood with one face veneered in 0.6 mm American cherry. The veneer shown is crown cut; it can also be supplied in quarter cut.

Features

• Base: okoume marine plywood.
• Veneer: American cherry, 0.6 mm thick, on one face.
• Crown-cut figure as standard; quarter cut to order.
• Available thicknesses: 4, 6, 10, 12, 15 and 20 mm.

Uses

Interior joinery for boats and homes: furniture fronts, doors, bulkhead panels, headboards and linings, where one face will remain visible and the other hidden against the structure.

Finish

Cherry finishes well with varnish or lacquer; the 0.6 mm veneer needs light sanding. Edges are finished with cherry edge banding or a solid lipping. If the panel is to be removable, it can be fixed with concealed Fastmount clips on the unveneered face.

What is the difference between crown cut and quarter cut?

Crown cut shows the grain in a flame pattern; quarter cut has a straight, more uniform grain.
