Fastmount Metal Stainless Steel Clips | La Tienda Naval

Metal Range

The marine environment is aggressive with any metal — salinity, constant humidity, temperature cycles. The Fastmount Metal range solves this with clips made from AISI 316 stainless steel and nickel-plated versions that resist corrosion even in exterior deck areas and engine rooms. If your project includes panels in outdoor zones, wet areas or environments with direct salt exposure, this is the range you need.

  • Access panels on exterior decks and washdown areas
  • Engine room linings with high temperature and humidity
  • Panels in galleys and heads with frequent splashing
  • Applications on aluminium vessels where plastic clips cannot be used
  • Panels in pool and jacuzzi areas on superyachts

The new stainless steel clips MC-SSM10B and MC-SSF10B also offer certified fire resistance, making them ideal for superyachts where corrosion and fire safety requirements combine. If you are mounting teak panels in the cockpit or deck area, Metal clips with our teak veneer make an unbeatable combination for durability.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why not use plastic clips outdoors?

Standard engineering plastic clips work well indoors, but UV rays, direct sun exposure and extreme thermal cycles can degrade them over time in exterior applications. Stainless steel 316 metal clips are built to last decades in harsh marine conditions.

Are they compatible with the same panels I use indoors?

Yes, the mounting principle is identical. You can use marine plywood, composite, stone or any panel with the appropriate thickness. The difference is only the clip material, not how it installs.

Stainless 316 or nickel-plated — which do I choose?

For marine applications we always recommend 316 stainless (marine grade). Nickel-plated is more economical and works well in humid interiors, but if there is direct seawater exposure, 316 is the safe choice.
