Each SLX fixing point supports significantly more load than a Standard clip. The number of clips per panel depends on total weight and orientation (ceilings require more points than walls). Contact us with your panel dimensions and weight and we will calculate the exact number needed.

Do I need special tools to install SLX?

No. It installs with a drill and screwdriver just like all other Fastmount ranges. The difference is that the screws and clip are more robust, but the mounting principle is identical: female to structure, male to panel, click.

Are fire-rated versions mandatory on my boat?

It depends on applicable regulations. On commercial vessels and superyachts with flags requiring SOLAS compliance, they are mandatory in specific zones. For private recreational boats it is usually not a legal requirement, but many owners choose them regardless for safety.
